Little Venice

Another great weekend spent in the Capital.

Today we took the tube to Baker Street, wandered through Regents Park, then onto the towpath of the Regents Canal. We wanted to have a look at the area known as "Little Venice" - we'd seen photos of the place online, and it looked very picturesque.

A short stroll along the canal, and we were suddenly surrounded by colourful moored narrowboats. What a delightful area - a lovely, peaceful leafy spot, just a stones throw from the city. I took plenty of shots, all of them showing the multitude of colours on display, but it was this image (which I converted to mono as a last resort, as I thought it boring ) which I chose for todays blip. It seemed to sum up the olde worlde feel of the place . . . . . .
