Railroad to Adventure?

Actually, for me, it is. This is the line that passes the bottom of our garden, the old Great North of Scotland Line from Aberdeen to Inverness. But, until recently, the late afternoon train was a through train to the West Coast, and on the front the destination board read: 'Kyle of Lochalsh'.

That's the crossing place to Skye and a holiday climbing on Cuillin gabbro - the best climbing rock in the world!

Alas, advancing years and two shoulder ops mean the Sron na Ciche cliff's overhangs are beyond my ability.
