Teddington Lock, River Thames

Travelled home today, so a quick walk down to the bridge at Teddington Lock for my last London Blip. Pleased to see this barge coming through the smaller lock, and then delighted to spot the lady and child walking along the path in colour matching tops. There is always something going on around here. This is where the tide ends on the Thames with the locks and the weirs. Interesting observations in Teddington High Street of classily dressed ladies and gents, loads of jeep cruisers and even more sports cars.

A long, hot drive back to Scotland, thankfully air con in the car. It was 32C when we left (40.5C in the kitchen!) and a welcoming 22C when we got home. We saw some crazy drivers, and one serious accident.

Backblipped on Thursday 18 July.
