Local talks

Among other things today I went to a series of talks about the life and work of Norman Morrison. Originally from the west-side of Lewis, he was a remarkable man, among other things, a policeman, adder expert, and an early photographer. Some of his glass-plate images have now been digitised and were on display. He was awarded a doctorate for his work on snakes. A very interesting afternoon.
