Stones

The lady behind the fish counter at Tesco was very taken with Nelly this morning, what a beautiful girl, like a character from Catherine Cookson book. Then she said she didn't look anything like me. Cheers! She did however give Nelly a discount on her salmon because it was awful expensive for a wee lass!
Continued our great paddling pool tour of the NE, this time at Holly's who also has a water slide. What a giggle the girls had, despite a few torrential rain showers.
We went to Stonehaven to try out Betty's metal detector on the beach. She was very pleased with her treasure, which my uncle said was a grinder.
( I sneakily put a 50p in the sand and then couldn't find it again!) But the most fun was had cracking stones- they were like a mini chain gang. I'll have them digging Holes before they know it! This photo shows Nelly trying to hide her pocketful of stones I said she had to leave on the beach.
Such a gorgeous night, we ended up staying until 7pm.
