Estaca de Bares

We have moved from Coruna to Ribadeo today taking an arcing road around the Rias Altas on the way. Our main stop today was at Estaca de Bares the most Northerly point in Spain, not only did it have a delightful lighthouse but also an abandoned military base. Too much fun to ignore. It must of been a fairly barren posting as well as this is where the Cantabrian sea meets the Atlantic, because of this it has one of the highest rainfall amounts in Europe. Luckily it was sunny and warm for us today.
