Acropolis in Carlton Hill

More Edinburgh landmarks! Based on the Parthenon in Athens, this was built in 1822 to commemorate soldiers lost at the battle of Waterloo. It was never finished and became the 'shame of Edinburgh'. i rather like it, its a folly!
