Buttermere Fells

I did consider "Steel forest" for a title. What possesses folk to stick ruddy great lights up hither thither and yon?

Having spent multiseveral hours trying to upload Caravan sites on the Outlaw's Satnav, I finally admitted defeat and we took off to return it "Ten times no better".

It was only after delivering it and Fossicking around the menu that I/we discovered I had, probably, been successful on the 1st (or at worst 2nd) attempt.

Problem was they had all moved from "Lodgings" where he knew they were to "Points of Interest", where neither of us knew they were.

Much muttering and cussing ensued. But at least we got a good run out on a splendiferous day.

Remove the Tarmac plateau and the steel forest and you can see why few Northerners are all that keen on moving South.

O.K. the biggest was only 3,210' last time I noticed and before ...
A) We were metricated.
B) It was more accurately measured.
C) Innumerable feet had battered it down an inch or so.

They may only be tiny hills, but they are our Fells.
