Backyard Monster

A spider climbing up some leaves in my backyard. My brain knows that insects are essential to the ecological cycle, but in my gut I still find them creepy. They're fascinating, but it's no accident that so many of our space aliens look like super sized, highly intelligent spiders and other insects. There's probably some sort of evolutionary psychology going on here.
