Mares’ Tails and a Cloud Street
Mrs CBL and I had a very enjoyable walk along the beach this morning. After four grey sky days in a row it was good to see blue skies overhead again.
At the end of August I spotted swirling mares’ tails in the sky. They were there again today. You may recall the seafarers’ tale that a turbulent day’s weather would follow a sighting of them.
Equally as impressive was seeing a lengthy Cloud Street. As you can see it mimicked the shape of the rocky outcrop on the beach which it hovered above.
The seafarers got it wrong last time so I am hoping they will be proved wrong again tomorrow and we’ll have a fine day.
