Nature Diary, Early this morning..

Early this morning, beside the sea.
The weather forecast predicted rain for most of the day and it certainly looked like the forecast was going to be correct.
But as the hours ticked by and the Tree Surgeon worked his superb skill on our Eucalyptus tree and then on our very tall laurel hedge, and chatted happily as he worked on, in and around the garden, it seemed that once again the weather forecast was wrong.
The day sailed quietly by, bright and mild, until very late in the afternoon when everything outside had been packed away, and it was then that the rain finally began. 
So, being night time now, with the evening meal offering warming food and the TV providing entertainment, the rain tapping on the roof tiles and running down the windows is welcome to have a nice time...as long as it moves away somewhere else by tomorrow morning. Good night.
