A brilliant day in Inverurie

Today was just a great day. Lots of fun with Jen and her parents in Inverurie.

We spend the morning getting bits for our lunch and dinner. All our favourite things that we all enjoy. This pictures is of the telephone exchange opposite one of the Inverurie landmark local food shops - Mitchell's (a dairy, hence the cows!) I love fun quirky street art like this! We headed back to have lunch at the house out in the garden in the sunshine.

After lunch to wander back in to town but this time to just have a look at the shops. Something we often don't have time for on our visits here. Inverurie has so many unique shops that it isn't like most towns with the 'same old shops'.

As the sun was shining we thought we'd make the most of it and stop for a drink with Jen's Mum and Dad at a local restaurant. We grabbed a comfy set of chairs outside and had a really good time chatting away in the sunshine.

With the weather being so good we had decided earlier to have a BBQ for dinner (see father in laws blip). Oh it was delicious - chicken, pork and prawn skewers, grilled veggies and halloumi cheese. So tasty.

As I said, it was a brilliant day full of smiles and enjoyment!
