Last Legs

I think we may take the strimmer to the front garden tomorrow. The daisies are pretty much dead past their best.
And so another phase ends....
I was treated to breakfast in the bath this morning which was a new experience! Bacon and eggs done to perfection by my lovely husband.
Pretty hard to eat though in the bath!
Then we headed over to Oxford for a barbecue with our friends Mr R and Mrs L and their little girl Miss P.
It's been ages since we've seen them and it was lovely to catch up.
But the Little Misses decided to behave pretty badly and ignore Mr K and me completely for most of the day.
It was so annoying and embarrassing. Normally they keep the worst of their brattishness for the privacy of our own home and appear to be relatively normal, reasonable human beings when there are other people around.....
Naturally Miss P was impeccably behaved.
But in amongst the whining, ignoring and backchat there was lots of fun in the paddling pool and with a fab hose attachment which sprayed water for jumping over, running through and pointing your bottom at.
For the kids I hasten to add. The grown ups didn't get their bottoms out but just watched and ate scrummy food and drank beer.
And a couple of hilarious "shows" from the Little Misses. Their performance of The Three Little Pigs was Oscar worthy.
They both fell asleep on the way home so they were plonked into their beds and now we're tidying up whilst discussing philosophy and the latest GDP figures.
No wait, I mean we're lazing on the sofa, drinking hot chocolate and watching Jericho
