Lancelot

Meet Lancelot - the hotel cat at Westover Hall in Milford-on-Sea (aka the Beach House). He's a Manx (tail-less cat) who was born at the hotel.

The hall was first owned by Alexander Siemens - who with his brother apparently brought electricity to England and also laid the first cable across the Atlantic. Westover Hall was then bought in 1930 by William Morris (later Lord Nuffield) - he of Morris motor fame, rather than he of textile design, and saved by the Parish Council in 1977 when the building firm McCarthy & Stone wanted to demolish it.

I took several photos of the wonderful oak-panelled hall of this 1897 building, which would have made excellent Blips, but the snap of Lancelot won!
