Mostly Six Five Oh

"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco"

The summer fog doing its thing. The Sutro Tower peeking through the fog, Twin Peaks is completely covered. The neighborhoods still in sun are the Mission and Noe Valley (old neighborhoods of mine), and Potrero Hill from where this was taken. These east side neighborhoods get the best weather in the summer (the hills keep the fog back and keep the area warm and protected) most of the time.

A delicious brunch at Mission Rock, a table on the deck with bay views. Then we went to check out the Oracle/Team USA boat "shed" where they keep the spare catamaran, lots of security and a very tight linked fence which made taking photographs rather tricky. Got stuck in traffic for ages along the Embarcadero but I got to see all the masses of new development in China Basin/Mission Rock. Managed an escape route then across the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island so I could get a closer look at the new span of Bay Bridge that goes out to Oakland. The new span is supposed to be opening soon but there have apparently been some problems with the the bolts(!)

Met D for dinner (oysters for him, crab for me) at the Ferry Building, we froze to death eating outside, the heater thingy above us didn't do much!!

My hubby called to tell me the very happy news that LC was adopted today!
