The Bean, Chicago

We are in Chicago!!! It's great to be here as Martin has now joined us and we will explore more of the USA together as a family.

Martin loves Chicago and he really wanted us to experience the city. The hotel is gorgeous in a fantastic location.

We got caught out in a terrific thunderstorm yesterday as we walked around the area, we were drenched! But it was good fun. And we sure did experience the Windy City at its best. It's not cold so all is good.

There seem to be definitely more tourists here than San Fran and Seattle, I'm quite surprised at that.

Went to Macy's and then walked all the way to the Millennium Park to see this cute sculpture referred to as 'The Bean' or Cloud Gate! Here's some info . It was rather cute and very popular photo op spot. Great reflections of the neighbouring buildings in the perfectly smooth surface.

Here's Martin and me in front of it. Enjoyed walking around the park where they were setting up for a concert in the park. If only Kelly was with us with her comfy chairs, we could have stayed and enjoyed it. It was super being out there. Had dinner in a typical diner! Life is good.
