Queen Elizabeth

A trip back to Fife this weekend saw Mrs F and I stop off to check on progress of the new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier being built at Rosyth dockyard.

When complete it will be 65,000 tones with a length of 280m and 70 m wide. Just hope it fits under the new bridge they are building.

Think we caught the light just right on this one to pick out the two islands and the huge crane used to build her. Both towering over the large buildings in the foreground.
