The drawing room

Had a lovely visit to The Argory at Dungannon today. We set off sharp and pootled off on the country roads. It's a lovely part of the world, arriving at this National Trust House just at lunchtime.

It was their annual Tartan Day, so lots of music on in the courtyard and a west Highland Terrier competition which included them being escorted into the showring by a full pipe band.

We took a tour of the house. It has been so thoughtfully maintained and I had a few rooms to choose from but have settled on the drawing room. I could quite happily have settled in there for the rest of the day, not least because of the immaculate German Steinway grand piano set under the window. It sounded fantastic!

Back home the straight road and settled down with a Chinese and a grape juice.
