Night River

Having spent the evening at the pub chatting with various people from the camera club, I realised I hadn't got my blip.

I toddled over the road from the pub where the river Anton runs through the village in the dark. Almost pitch black - thank goodness for phone flashlights!

So, this is the result of a 4 minute exposure; I normally do night shots at ISO 100, but I couldn't wait the hour so I went for a higher ISO. The digital noise on the raw is huge, but I think I got it under control...

What's really nice (and I hadn't noticed on the camera at the time) is that I'm just starting to get some star trails going on.
