From My Everyday Life

A Tangle of Backyards

My neighborhood is a suburb built in the late 1920s. Compared to more recent suburbs, the closets are smaller, the garages smaller, and the backyards smaller. The tiny backyards struck me today when I was on my second floor flat roof deck. A tangle of yards, roofs, fences, trees, and lives. The picture was taken in black and white. I used an HDR program to exaggerate the details, which made the image feel more busy, more tangled.
