Moon over the Machias River

We've spent the afternoon trimming the wild roses that block our river and Machias Bay view. We accomplished what we wanted to but I look like I've invented a new skin art, I'm scratched to bits. Of course we left the electric trimmers at home.

After cleaning up the piles of trimmed greenery, we cleaned up as well and went for dinner at a local restaurant, Helen's, famous for their pies. I had crab cakes made fromlocal crab from Jonesport, and T had a big bowl of fish chowder. Of course we shared a piece of coconut cream pie.

I'm late with my blip on purpose, full moon, so many opportunities for great shots over at the neighbor's lot( the fantastic old graveyard). The sunset viewed from Rim Road near the bridge almost won out.

Raspberry is enjoying herself, totally and Max is livin' large back home in charge of the world.

For the Record,
This day came in crisp and clear with a breeze off the water. 59 degrees at 6:30 AM and the temps were in the '7os all day, what a relief. Bright sun and cool enough to close up the windows downstairs at 6 PM. Just lovely after all the heat at home.

A perfect start to 3 weeks here!!
