Anyone for tennis?

This juvenile black back gull thought the ball was food - it picked it up and flew up with it, dropping it on the water, like they drop the shellfish on the sand to break open the shells. Tried it several times each time flying higher, before giving up in disgust. Lesson learned perhaps?
