Continuing the hen introductions, I present Mavis - alpha hen. The brains of the outfit, Mavis takes her position of #1 and union rep very seriously, always being the first to inspect anything new, resolving disputes, and leading the delegation to the conservatory when food is running low.

She is pictured here post-late afternoon dustbath - what a mucky pup!
