Sailing Uphill
Today was completely overshadowed by a Management E-Mail.
As we all know Managers are just brilliant and never make really effing stupid decisions.
Except they do.
Pretty much permanently.
The latest communique was about Incidents (an incident is when something causes a problem). Every incident HAS to be accepted within 30 minutes as the Managers have decided.
Perfectly reasonable they said.
I'm responsible for about 1000 jobs that run overnight scheduled between 2 and 4 in the morning.
It seems a little unreasonable that I should get up every hour to check if there has been an incident.
Managers - the people with all the ideas and no effing clue.
Maybe there is a special club where these people sit down and think "I think this would be really stupid - how good is that?"
My swear jar is now a swear barrel.
I just don't get it.
