Off out

Younger son's graduation day. He chose not to attend the official ceremony in Bristol but went to work as usual and in the evening we had a celebration meal at a local restaurant.

Here he is (centre) with (L to R) brother, aged uncle, girlfriend, father.

He's now a MA in English Literature and has an apprenticeship in arts management in Pembrokeshire, but the real feather in his cap is that he's just been headhunted as a stringer for The Guardian, reporting on the music scene in the southwest UK. His brief is a modest one but it represents the bottom rung of a considerable ladder.

It was also an evening for new shoes. Here you can see the pair Gwyn is wearing: they were bought by his aged uncle 50 years ago for a visit to Morocco and have been kept on shoe trees ever since.
Meanwhile today we persuaded The Old Man to buy a pair of Crocs which are just visible.
