Decommissioned.

This is an old road sign from the 60's retrieved from the council before they dispose of it.

daisyglaisy's boss, Catspaw. Spotted these signs had been replaced with modern ones and went in hot pursuit before they were despatched to landfill. Some phone calls later he had them.

There are plans for the others but I was offered this one.

I love it, love the font and the fact it's got 3/4 on it. I like the idea that it has seen so many changes in transport, not to mention some extremes of weather!

So here it is. In its place in the garden. I'm trying to decide whether to do a bit of restoration but actually like it the way it is for now. What do you think?
