Monolith

A gift from Stalin and evidence that the Communist times haven't been completely erased, the Palace of Culture and Science stands in the centre of Warsaw and is the tallest building in Poland. Having said that, the 43rd floor of the hotel where I am doesn't fall far short - as it's pretty much on a par with the clock face - it's always good to be able to tell the time from the jacuzzi I find! :-)

First day in the office went well. Introductions, admin and that kind of thing. The ladies in my section have suggested Fionka as my Polish name, which I quite like!
