Cromwell's Bridge

Beside the Lower Hodder Bridge stands the remains of the Old Hodder Bridge which was built in 1562 by Richard Shireburn. It's generally called Cromwell's Bridge because Cromwell's troops crossed it at the time of the Battle of Preston.
I had a great walk tonight from the Upper Hodder Bridge to the Lower Hodder Bridge and then I walked over Cromwell's Bridge before retracing my steps.
