North Sea Sunrise

There was thick fog ( and a flat calm sea) all the way from Lerwick to Kirkwall but sometime before dawn we must have sailed out of the mirk and into clear skies.

I only managed an hour or so of sleep, perched between two chairs as the boat was absolutely full , carrying all those people who had failed to fly out from Sumburgh on Friday as well as a good local and tourist trade.

Just after I woke someone drew my attention to this sunrise. From the other side of the ferry Peterhead Power Station dominated the view.
