Sharp feather!

My blip for today was taken this morning in a local town, Flint, county town of Flintshire in North Wales (for a good few years was Clwyd).

There was a parade today by the Royal Welch Fusiliers, commemorating the anniversary of the granting of the Freedom of Flintshire awarded to them 4 years ago. It was a very well supported event, a good few hundred people turned out, and the "boys" were supported by the Military band of the Mercian regiment.

I liked the contrast in here between the white feather on the beret, and the sharpness of the bayonet (although in her speech the chair of the council said the troops were allowed to march with baronets fixed - now I would like to see that!!).

A great morning, and some nice shots to go with it, and then at the end was asked by some of the band and troops to take photos of them -all done and now emailed over!
