After the fireworks that got cancelled

Sumida river fireworks happens once in a year around this time. It attracts quite a lot of visitors. I, amongst them, went to a friend's apartment to see it from the roof. However, the fireworks display was cancelled less than 30 minutes after it had begun -- due to the heavy summer downpour. All left to see after that from my friend's balcony were people walking in the rain, making their way home.
