Or dumped furniture?
After another meeting today, the future surely lies in writing Management Handbooks.
Six principles:
1. You are ALWAYS right - even if you have no idea what is being discussed.
2. You are a Manager that means you have Reasons for everything.
3. The people who work for you only have excuses for everything. Excuses are unacceptable - Reasons are totally ok.
4. Smile & nod when you are faced with a technical problem where you have no idea. The people with excuses will have to fix that.
5. Insist on documentation that you will never read. Ever. And neither will anyone else.
6. Schedule meetings for crap times like 4pm on a Friday afternoon (and call them things like "Backlog Refinement", "Queue Replenishment" or your choice of buzzwords).
Guaranteed that the people who have to listen to you will cherish every word that you have to share with them. Who needs work when you have managers?
That's a Best Seller waiting to be written.
