Hovering

This afternoon I had my first walk with a very sweet Staffordhire girl named Lana from the sanctuary. After our walk I wandered around the park for a while looking for dandelion leaves for Rosie but I had great difficulty finding any as the all the grass had recently been cut and at the same time all the dandelions had been beheaded.

Walking back to my bicycle I spotted a few hoverflies on some daylilies and took some photos of them feeding. It was purely by chance that I happened to get this shot of one of the hoverflies in flight.
