Physalis (Cape Gooseberry)

This is the first of what I suspect will be a number of back-blips because my eye-trouble is making computer work a bit tricky!

Physalis (aka Cape Gooseberry) is a genus of plants in the nightshade family, native to warm temperate and subtropical regions throughout the world. I rescued 2 of these a week or so ago from a farm shop.

I hope it will reach the edible stage before the weather gets colder again.
