Time please

I can't help but notice when I am weeding, that each plant has its own survival mechanism. Some have roots that go on 'till Christmas and you have to dig a man-size hole to get them out, others break off at ground level leaving the root still in the ground, waiting to launch another spurt of growing when you're not looking. Others sting or prick and are just generally disagreeable.

The photo is of a Nerium Oleander which we bought to replace bamboo (bamboo being another slippery little sucker to get rid of). Pretty and pleasant we thought. Wrong. This fella doesn't take prisoners apparently ? it is one of the most poisonous plants in the world.
Its bark is known for its strychnine-like effects. A single leaf could be lethal to a child and 100g is enough to kill a horse.

Bit over the top isn't it?
