Nature Diary.. Hungry Magpies

On a clear, chilly morning with grey skies and grey sea, 2 of the regular Magpie visitors saw me putting some cake crumbs out on the balcony. When one arrived and hungrily started to feed it was a matter of mere seconds before the second one landed on the railing to inspect this morning's breakfast.
It's difficult to feed them as so many other birds are hungry at this time of year, but having regularly seen the parents bringing their adorable youngsters to feed over the course of many years, I vote to feed them, rather than letting Pigeons or Herring Gulls stuff themselves everywhere with everything.

Grateful thanks to everyone who visited my Blip entry yesterday and left stars, hearts and so many lovely messages. Thank you all xxxxxx
