A Sunday Stroll!

If we're at home and nothing else is planned, we usually go for a walk on Sundays. Living not too far from the The Peak District, it's usually our first choice. We knew it would be boot weather, as we'd had quite a bit of rain last night. The Peak is know for it's mud!

We started the walk at Rushton Spencer and went via part of the Gritstone Trail and ended via the River Dane.

I'm now drying out the map and CAMRA walking book! At first the weather was lovely, dry and sunny, not too warm, but after lunch we had heavy rain and a few cracks of thunder!

Still a great little walk. Lots of views of Bosley Cloud, The Roaches, Hen Cloud and even a glimpse of this hill Shutlingsloe - locally know as the Matterhorn of the Peak District. Lots of wonderful cloud to create some life in the sky shots.

Lunch was a stop at The Ship Inn in Wincle. There's even a micro brewery in the village - the Wincle Beer Company. That would be a stop for another time...

Super day out!
