Brant Street Pier

The Brant Street Pier in my hometown of Burlington has finally been completed after years of political wrangling, embarrassing gaffes, mishaps and litigation. It is really not much to see after all of the controversy it stirred up, but at least it is no longer an idle construction site.

It was odd to take a solitary blip-walk this afternoon, sans enfants. I miss R and C, but am trying to take advantage of the opportunities for quiet contemplation that their week away presents.
