Finals Finale

Today was the big day. Swim Finals! The weather cooperated much better today as far as seeing the sun goes. The wind and temps however were not as cooperative. As far as I know the thermometer never hit 70 (F). There were swimmers wearing winter coats to stay warm between races. It was a scene no one would have predicted a couple of weeks back. League veterans could not remember a colder finals. After sorting through 600 some photos, here's one of my oldest, who qualified for her first finals swims in 6 years, relaxing in front of the grand Detroit Yacht Club Clubhouse after she was done swimming. It was a great day for the kids. I'm proud of both of mine and all the swimmers who dove in and gave it their all. And, now that we're back home again, it feels good to be warm. :)
