A Little Tender

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

I worked from home today to make sure Punky was ok.

And the day did not start well. I found lots of blood spots on my bed. It was worrying, but when I checked him out, his wound looked clean.

And he was in pretty good fettle at first, he was puttering around the living room and seemed ok. But then he tried to jump onto the kitchen top. He made it, but afterward he went to hide.

Cats do that. They try to hide from the pain. So I wasn't happy.

At lunchtime I ordered some chicken tenders to try and cheer him up. But even before they arrived he got up!

It's like he just KNOWS.

Anyway, after that he was much happier. You can see him here nom-nom-nom-ing his way through two whole tenders. Then he went into the garden and happily watched the birds.

He seemed very happy until it was time for his evening meds. Then he was grumpy again and hid.

So it's been an up and down day for all of us. On the whole I think he feels better.

And I still have six chicken tenders left in the fridge for him.

S.
