Zebedee at Newton House

We were woken at 7 by the loudest thunder clap I've ever heard!!! Max was already up, the rain was torrential and me and the boys huddled together waiting for it to stop, Max brought coffee and then we discovered the kids had left a window open and half the tent was flooded!

Next door to where our friends live here in Llandeilo is National Trust property Newton House, an amazing place set in gorgeous countryside, there was a lot for the kids to do, old clothes to dress up in, a Steinway grand piano to play, a WW2 army hospital room with costumes and equipment as well as lovely guides one of whom had lots of ghost stories to entertain Gulli with.

After lunch we went to Dolaucothi Goldmine where we went into a Victorian mine, it was an interesting place and we've been there before years ago, the kids enjoyed it just as much this time.
