Don’t over do it

Mumma bear and I started the day with an early rise to climb Goatfell. Although the walk was lovely close to the summit, we encountered quite a bit of snow and ice. After a few slippery moments, we made the decision not to go any higher. Although it’s always disappointing not to reach a summit, safety must come first and I did manage to reach the last 2000ft of this month’s ascent. After a coffee and hot chocolate warmed us up, we headed out to Glen Sannox for a walk into the valley. We’ve somehow walked almost 15 miles today. I’m looking forward to a swim tonight.
