Clueless and tailless

Have a look around the birds in your garden. Have you got any that are without tails?

For some peculiar reason we have a collection of the following
Magpie, Blackbird, Greenfinch, Great Tit, Sparrow and as above the Jackdaw. This one has a couple of tail feathers but apart from that nothing else has formed.

Our neighbour, an avid twitcher and "something in the RSPB" is passing the word around his colleagues, I just wonder how widespread this is, I've never seen it in so many species previously.
