Orphir hills

I got the bus to Orphir and walked up the track through Rams Dale, then cut north over the moors to Scorradale.

This shot is toward Ward Hill. There are a few hills in Orkney with that name- the 'ward' seems to refer to observation (warder, warden, ward, toward) and these hills were the beacon hills where warning fires would be lit on the summit at ties of danger
