Birthday day out

As today was my birthday, we headed for a day out with some of the family to Pendennis Castle in Falmouth to see the Grand Medieval Joust.

Jules and I were joined by my Mum, Sister and bump, Niece and Step Niece to be.

The day started out mizzley but soon brightened up and we all ended up looking a bit rosy!

We watched the knights take part in several events, including the Knights Melee which involved knocking things off the other knights helmets using clubs. A tad brutal to say the least! We also watched the falconry display, and the jesters antics before watching the final joust to settle the overall winner between the knights. Sir Hugh of the South was todays champion.

If you are in the Falmouth area when they have their next medieval joust, it's well worth the visit!

After heading back to St Ives, Jules and myself went to my favourite restaurant Seafood Cafe where i had a beautiful fillet steak. It may sound like a strange thing to have in a seafood restaurant, but OMG they know how to cook a steak!

All in all a very pleasant day was had by all x
