Frozen Queen Anne's Lace

Bitterly cold today - going out was no fun at all.  Where are my gloves? Just like every year, they disappear.

Work for the last time this year - no-one will miss 2024, The Year Of Pointless Admin.  

Tomorrow is a holiday here, Wednesday too - but back to work on Thursday when the office will be populated by me and pretty much no one else.  It promises to be very quiet.  Not disappointed by that prospect.

Oh and the fireworks have started.  A colleague said he has a friend who takes his 2 cats and 2 dogs away to Elsass/Alsace for a short break every year at this time because they have a ban on fireworks.  Such a ban would be very welcome here.
