Sundial 3 - Bakehouse Close

The third sundial in my quest to find different sundials.
(The first and second were on July 13 and 14)

It was very difficult to photograph this sundial as it was beyond a mesh gate in a little courtyard off Bakehouse Close behind Huntly House Museum.   There appear to be heads between the lower circular dials with many faces on this polyhedral sundial.  It is thought to be one of a pair which came from Grange House in Edinburgh when it was demolished in 1936.
Similar multi-faceted sundials were often found in the gardens of large houses and castles in the 17th and 18th centuries with owners trying to outdo others in the degrees of complexity and originality.
