Maldives Diaries- Pedalling
It is hot, hot, hot today! The last few days, despite the heat, there has been a slight breeze or even wind but today has felt very muggy sitting outside became impossible at times-even for Mumma bear!
However the heat has not stopped us from having fun, we’ve just had to make adjustments. This morning Mumma bear and I ventured out on a pedalo as we’ve been eyeing them up for a few days now. It was fun to go a bit deeper into the lagoon; there are buoys separating swimmers and boats so when swimming or snorkelling, you can’t actually go too far out. Joyce then met us at the pool. We’ve sort of avoided the pool in favour of sea but I think that could change from now on. The pool was crisp cold and has a cocktail station in it, so it’s one of the few places to actually cool off. By the time we were finished, the temperature had really risen so it was time for some indoor air conditioning.
Once things cooled down in the evening, Mumma bear and I went out on a longer snorkel and managed to see a stingray. I’m proud of Mumma bear’s progress, she was quite nervous at the beginning of the week about snorkelling but now she’s pottering along with ease. We’re just back from an Arabic dinner, I think we’ve all agreed it’s our favourite restaurant so far.
