Maldives Diaries- Sun-day Wintering
And just like that it’s our final full day in the Maldives. I don’t know about others, but when it’s a last day scenario, I feel the need to ‘do/see everything’. The island we’re on is very small but there’s still parts we haven’t touched- like the oversized chess set, or the gym- but those places can be experienced at home.
All three of us enjoyed a quiet walk around the island this morning, before returning to our sun bathing stations. It was another hot one today but the wind has picked up so snorkelling was interesting to say the least. At points I thought Mumma bear and I were in a scene from Moana; we were being tossed around like nobody’s business. As much as I love wave jumping, there are just too many coral reefs around our villa, so as fun as it is, we do have to be careful.
We then spent a lovely afternoon soaking up the sun before we head back into the deep mind winter- I’m not sure how we’re all going to cope. Later on in the evening Mumma bear and Joyce photographed the most amazing sunset. All the sunsets are beautiful here but tonight’s was extra colourful. We’re just back from our final dinner and now it’s time to get packing.
