A work related blip today! I had the pleasure of a guided tour of the Pitscurry Project at Pitcaple this morning followed by a lovely lunch at the cafe there with my host Kay. The project is a Garioch based charity that provides work and volunteering opportunities for adults with additional support needs in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council. It has taken over a seven acre site that was a disused tree nursery and created a number of beautiful themed gardens and woodland walks, all interspersed with art work. There's also community composting, garden furniture, amazing totem pole bird boxes, musical instruments, a couple of ponds and the cafe - and brilliant views of Bennachie and the surrounding countryside. Well worth a visit!
